Comfort and natural behaviour

Battery cage operations are prohibited in Europe. Enriched cages – larger and higher, with a perch and nesting space – are a logical step. Their purpose is to keep the hen’s natural behaviour possible, which we at ‘t Munckenei evidently fully support. An egg from enriched caged hens is recognizable by the “3” in the egg code.
