Quail eggs De Kwartelier
Three thousand quails have ensured a considerable increase of the population in our region since the beginning of 2017. These small birds peck insects and seeds off the ground, thus behaving similarly to their bigger cousins. Quails seldom fly, but do not be mistaken : this migratory bird knows how to handle itself in the air. Our free-range quails deliver daily fresh eggs that are smaller, but also richer than traditional hen eggs. Let yourself be surprised!
Our quails scratch, just like their bigger cousins, the hens. ‘t Munckenei is the first Belgian producer using this method and supplying free-range quail eggs. Most of the quail eggs on the market today are the result of 100% caged animals, but we clearly chose a different path.
